About
The AMK trek, short for Alang, Madan, and Kulang forts, is widely considered the most challenging and formidable trek in the Sahyadri mountain range. Unlike other popular treks, the AMK trek demands technical climbing and rappelling skills, as the original rock-cut steps to the forts were destroyed. The reward for this arduous journey is a profound sense of accomplishment and unparalleled views from all three summits, which stand at nearly 5,000 feet. This trek is not just about physical endurance; it’s a test of will that takes adventurers through a historical and natural landscape, cementing its status as the ultimate challenge for seasoned mountaineers and thrill-seekers in Maharashtra.
